Next member of my Mannheims retinue:

Mikhail Lyri - Magos of the Adeptus Mechanicus
Floating violent Magos with a craving for dark technology and forgotten lore - and double up on mechadendrites

And a few for size comparison:

In the end I decided to scrap the first backpack/power source.
It was simply to bulky and I think I wanted to do too many things with in on the model.

When I got the idea to this model, the sole purpose of him was to be able to let him 'float' on the mechadendrites :) I think that part went ok.

I went for another setup of servoarms to balance out the huge claw/fist.
The new servoarms and setup matches the claw-fist quite well I think, even though I know its a bit on the large size :) Buy hey - sometimes grotesqueness and large sizes grants a nice perspective :)

The Magos is equipped with somekind of neutral modified binary poison gun too.


I would like to thank those filthy few (properly just one or two ;)) guys who are following the blog and posting comments :)
Its always nice to get some reactions on your models.

Project overview and some bits for the next model

Inquisitor Mannheims retinue is slowly getting larger.

Im not done yet with the models, but Im getting there slowly - model by model :)

As far as i have planned I stille have two models to build for this retinue:

A Daemonhost and a  Chrono Gladiator.

And ofcause I still need to finish the magos.

I have ideas about the Daemonhost and the Chrono Gladiator, what conversions and greenstuff work needs to be done.

Here is a small preview of the rough shape of the Chrono Gladiator.

There is some greenstuff work to be done, and a lot of tubes to be connected, but I hope it will work out as the picture in my mind tells me :)

I'm ok satisfied about how he turned out.
I think he looks violent and like a nasty bastard, while still retaining some of the commissar style.

The Mono-whips didnt quite turn out as I wanted them to, but I guess you dont hit the nail every time you strike ? :)

WIP - Ex-Commissar

Currently working on the next member of the retinue,

An Ex-Commissar, fallen from grace.

He will have some aggressive attitude - and hopefully some edge that makes him stand out as a former commissar in the retinue.

He will be armed with massive biceps - and dual monofilament whips of antique/alien/forbidden design.

I hope to have some pictures out later today - or perhaps tomorrow.

WIP 2 - Magos Mikhail

WIP 2 Magos Mikhail,

Mikhail will be 'floating' on a bunch of small mechadendrites, that will keep him almost flying.
The backpack will support two larger bionic arms - one with a claw and one with some kind of plasma/las cutter.
